As Jordan continues its steady post-pandemic recovery, plans are back on track to continue the significant upgrades to Amman’s luxury hotel scene that international brands have been eyeing for years. Following its grand opening in May of this year, the new Ritz-Carlton Amman is now among not only the Jordanian capital’s new crown jewels, but a jewel among Marriott International’s worldwide portfolio of properties as well.
With 228 rooms and 34 suites, the Ritz-Carlton Amman is sure to attract Jordan’s and the wider region’s elite. On the 20th floor, diners at the famed restaurant Roberto’s will enjoy 360-degree views across the city as they enjoy a menu overseen by the brand’s three-Michelin-starred chief culinary advisor Enrico Bartolini and implemented locally by executive chef Carmelo Rosselli. The property also includes a tea and desert lounge, a shish garden, a cigar and whisky bar, a sports bar, and at least two other restaurants.
Speaking about the significance of this particular hotel’s opening to the development of the Jordanian capital, the property’s Jordanian-born and raised general manager, Tareq Derbas, remarked, “The opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Amman marks an incredible milestone for the entire Kingdom. The property delivers an exceptional standard of luxury and refinement – one that redefines elegance and hospitality in Jordan and the wider region. We are thrilled to unveil this stunning property and look forward to welcoming guests with a level of care and passion that will be sure to delight and exceed expectations.”
