Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts continues to invest in its expansion throughout the Middle East with the announcement of the brand’s first property in the Sultanate of Oman. A former yacht club and marina in Muscat will be renovated to form the core of the new property, which will feature 200 upscale rooms and suites and 100 luxurious private residences.
The new development will also feature all of the standard amenities offered at Four Seasons properties around the world, including indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and gym, sporting courts, a children’s center, and meeting and event spaces.
The country’s state-sponsored tourism development company, OMRAN Group, will serve as the local partner in the redevelopment of the site and the operation of the property.
Reflecting on the partnership, OMRAN CEO Dr. Hashil Obaid Al Mahrouqi said “Muscat is a destination filled with history, natural beauty, business, tourism, and so much more, and we look forward to showcasing all it has to offer through this exceptional new project with Four Seasons. By bringing this iconic brand to Muscat, we continue to drive forward the Oman Vision 2040 and our National Tourism Strategy, solidifying this wonderful country as a preeminent luxury destination for locals and global travelers alike.”
Bart Carnahan, president of Global Business Development and Portfolio Management for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, added, “The Middle East continues to be an integral part of the Four Seasons growth strategy, as we look for opportunities to offer unmatched Four Seasons experiences in exciting and dynamic destinations such as Muscat.”
