The opening of the new Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour marks this hotel brand’s first foray into the Kingdom of Bahrain along with the debut of the renowned international fusion concept restaurant SushiSamba crowning its rooftop.
Anchoring the Sayacorp Tower development, the 98 Conrad-branded suites boast floor-to-ceiling windows and individual kitchenettes in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations. There are also four-bedroom penthouse units, each of which has a private swimming pool.
Conrad’s parent company, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, already operates two other hotel properties in Bahrain. The group’s president for the Middle East and African, Guy Hutchison, noted, “With its prime location and standout dining options, including SushiSamba, the hotel is set to become a destination of choice in Bahrain’s capital city.”
SushiSamba, a tri-national fusion concept restaurant which first launched in New York City in 1999. It’s unique blend of Japanese, Peruvian, and Brazilian cuisine is inspired by the waves of Japanese immigration to both Peru and Brazil in the 19th and 20th centuries that influenced the culinary scenes in those two South American countries.
Although its original two New York locations are now shuttered, SushiSamba has continued to enjoy success and expansion globally with locations still going strong in London, Las Vegas, Singapore, and across the Middle East.
The newest location atop the Conrad in Bahrain marks the chain’s third location in the region after Dubai and Doha, with additional locations expected soon in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
